| Losing Weight |
"Losing weight requires major lifestyle changes, including diet & nutrition, exercise, behavior manipulation, and--when appropriate--intervention with drug therapy,". Overweight refers to an excess of body weight, but not necessarily body fat. To be successful at losing weight, you require to change your lifestyle--not go on a diet. Weight loss pills & supplements have been around for a long time. Weight loss can reduce these risks, but keeping that lost weight off is never easy. In fact, weight loss doesn't even have to involve strange diets, special exercises or even the 'magic' of pills or fitness gadgets. Use a calorie calculator to figure out how lots of calories you burn while sitting, standing, exercising, lifting weights, etc. If you are eating less calories than you are burning, you'll lose weight. Infact, you can start losing weight right now by making a few simple changes. Excess weight can also cause interrupted breathing during sleep (sleep apnea) & wearing away of the joints (osteoarthritis). Most health experts recommend a combination of a reduced-calorie diet & increased physical activity for weight loss. What your brain perceives as appropriate food intake levels can then exceed your body's metabolism, generating weight gain. Severely obese women should lose weight during pregnancy, while obese women who are pregnant should gain. The high fiber content of lots of of these foods may help you to feel full with fewer calories. Keep your intake of saturated fat, trans fat, & cholesterol as low as possible. Foods high in saturated fats include high-fat dairy products (like cheese, whole milk, cream, butter, & regular ice cream), fatty fresh & processed meats, the skin & fat of poultry, lard, palm oil, & coconut oil. Trans fat can often be found in processed foods made with partially hydrogenated vegetable oils such as vegetable shortenings, some margarines (for example, stick margarines that are hard), crackers, cookies, candies, snack foods, fried foods & baked goods. Eating much fat, saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol, or sodium may increase your risk for chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, some cancers, or high blood pressure.

Tobacco use is one of the major causes of death worldwide, according to the World Health Organization. Nicotine is an addictive substance, especially when taken in by inhaling tobacco because of the rapid absorption through the lungs.
